We’ve been excited about the re-teaming of Jesus & Mary Chain ever since we heard those grumblings about a Coachella appearance. As anyone could guess, the reformation is officially bringing a new studio album. They hinted at the idea in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, but it has now been confirmed. No title or anything like that just yet, but once we get word we’ll be sure to pass it along.
The band is also planning to play a few more dates in October, bringing Evan Dando and Soulsavers, Mark Lanegan’s new band, along for the ride.
