Joy Division Celebrated In Kevin Cummins Book

With September around the corner, it is time to start thinking about holiday shopping. Yeah, we went there. If anyone is looking for an idea for any of the Tripwire staff, this is it. On November 1, Juvenes will hit shops. The book is full of Joy Division photographs taken by Kevin Cummins dating back to 1977. The publication is limited to 26 lettered copies, signed with an original print (for £500) and 200 numbered copies, signed (for £200).

Back in July, Natalie Curtis, Ian’s daughter, commented on the pressing saying, “Even though I must have only been about three years old, I can still remember the first time I saw Kevin Cummins photographs of Joy Division. Even as a small child I was aware of the band and knew that my father was the singer, but seeing the black and white prints spread out across the carpet brought tangibility. They really did exist!”

Still need some convincing to lay down that kind of cash? Check out the cover and one of the photos found in the book. You know you wanna get it for us, don’tcha?
