Richard Hawley Returns To North America

Now THIS is the type of news we want to hear on a Monday! The British crooner Richard Hawley will be performing nine dates in the US, kicking off at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on December 1. The Mercury Prize nominated musician has spent time in both Pulp and the Longpigs, and even assisted Jarvis Cocker on his debut solo album, but it is his on material that has always stolen his hearts. His most recent LP, Lady’s Bridge, features some of his best work to date, and we can only imagine how great it will be live.

To bring his music to life on stage, he will be accompanied by his regular band members John Trier (keyboards), Shez Sheridan (guitar) and Dean Beresford (drums), as well as bassist and co-producer Colin Elliot. As mind blowing as he was during his 2006 performance at NYC’s Sin-e, we can assure you that this is a definite not to miss tour. In case you still haven’t checked out the awesomeness of Hawley’s latest, click over to the videos for “Serious” and “Tonight The Streets Are Ours.”
