Last month the indie-tastic Thrill Jockey record label announced their super cool box set of 7″ singles to commemorate their fifteen-year anniversary. With an anniversary, you definitely need a party, and for Thrill Jockey, it is going to be an impressive bash. Taking place on December 14 and 15 at the Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago, they’ll be bringing in ADULT., Arbouretum, Califone, Bobby Conn, The Fiery Furnaces, The Sea And Cake, Trans Am and many more, plus a few surprise guests.
One of the highlights of the anniversary bonanza will be the US debut for School of Language, which is the new solo project for David Brewis from Field Music. His new album will be out on Thrill Jockey (obviously) in February of ‘08. Two day passes for the show will only set you back $50, and you’ll get a copy of the Super Epic Thrill Jockey Mega Massive Mix.
