My Bloody Valentine Pull A Radiohead

We’re still pretty bummed that we didn’t manage to score tickets for My Bloody Valentine’s reunion-athon, but our spirits were immediately lifted when we got more news regarding the band’s new material.

In an interview with Billboard, My Bloody Valentine’s manager Vinita Joshi spilled the beans on the group pulling a “Radiohead” stating, “At the moment, all I can say is that Kevin (Shields) is getting the band back together and they will go into the studio next month to work on the new record. The plan is that they will release the album themselves via the Internet, but there will also probably be a vinyl release.” However unlike Radiohead, fans will not have to name a price.

Oh, and if you were expecting to see them at Coachella, think again. Joshi went on to comment on that saying, “If the band had been booked to play any summer festivals, I’d know about it. We’ll see how the summer shows go first.”
