We’ve been following the Causes 1 Darfur benefit compilation from Waxploitation for a couple of months now. Sales of the album, which includes exclusive and rare tracks from Animal Collective, The Black Keys, Bloc Party, Cornelius, The Cure, David Sylvian, Death Cab For Cutie, (International) Noise Conspiracy, The Shins, Spoon, Teargas & Plateglass, Thievery Corporation and Travis, will go to Doctors Without Borders, Human Rights Watch and Oxfam America.

It contains a remix of The Shins’ “Turn On Me,” which was done by the famous artist/composer Clint Mansell, previously known for his work composing the score for Requiem For A Dream as well as co-founding the British act Pop Will Eat Itself.
