Charity – The Lunchbox Auction

After posting The Tripwire’s Gift Guide, one of our readers sent over a link to a great addition to our list, the 2007 Lunchbox Auction. The auction benefits two outstanding hunger-relief organizations: Food Bank for New York City and The Lunchbox Fund of South Africa. The idea is pretty simple – celebrities design one-of-a-kind lunchboxes, you bid on them and the proceeds go to these two charities.

While scrolling through the lunchboxes, the ones done by Lily Allen, Beastie Boys, Flea, Elton John, Mike Myers, Yoko Ono, Natalie Portman, Cat Power and TV On The Radio caught our eye. Even Kanye West got in on this. Some of them are still quite affordable; so pick up a cool collectable while helping out people in need.
