Smashing Pumpkins have recorded an acoustic EP and will be releasing it just in time for after the holidays, January 2 via iTunes in fact. All four of the EP’s tracks were recorded at Pass Studio in Los Angeles and were co-produced by Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlain.

According to Angry Ape, Corgan commented, “We have always regretted not recording more in between tours because albums have never caught the full story of the group…it’s sort of Zeitgeist plus.”
