Although they haven’t caused a stir here on our shores yet, we’ve got a feeling that France’s Neimo are going to make plenty of new friends here in the US as they spend December in NYC. The group is led by the charismatic Bruno Alexandre, a frontman that brings the confidence and swagger of Carl Barat and Julian Casablancas to mind.
They self-produced their debut album, From Scratch, back in 2005. For album number two, Modern Incidental, Neimo will be unleashing their danceable rock to North America for the first time. They have signed with Shangri-La Music, a new music company that will definitely be making a splash with this Parisian group on their roster. While we will have to wait until Spring of ‘08, you can get a sample of their sound by downloading this MP3 of their track “Echoing Pixels.”
For our friends in NYC, Neimo will around quite a bit this month. Do yourself a favorite and catch one (or several) of their upcoming shows. In fact, we’ve got tickets to giveaway for a couple of their concerts.
