Happy Mondays Plan First LP Release In 15 Years

It’s been about fifteen years since Happy Mondays have released an album. If you ask us, that’s way too long to wait for some Bez dancing and apparently the band thought so too. The band just inked a deal with Sanctuary Records and will be releasing new material later this year.

Howie B and Sonny Levine, who just so happens to also be Quincy Jones’ grandson, are producing the new album. The first single hits in June, with some select tour dates including Coachella and the UK at the end of May. Speaking to NME, frontman Shaun Ryder said, “I’m not the world’s best salesman, me… I’m not a salesman at all. I think it’s a really great album.”

We know of at least five people in our office that collectively just wet their pants.
