The long list of nominees for the sixth annual Shortlist Music Prize was announced today. The award spotlights the most creative and adventurous albums of the year that have not been certified gold for domestic sales, and the selection process is made up of a panel of nine list makers that work in the industry as artists or journalists. In April the top ten finalists will be announced, and later this Spring the winner will be named.
