British Sea Power Ready Krankenhaus? EP

In August we tipped you to the fact that British Sea Power were not only returning to North America to perform, but also were planning on releasing new tunes. While we still have to wait until 2008 for the long player, more details have leaked on the EP that we mentioned last month.

On October 8 British Sea Power’s Krankenhaus? EP will be digitally released in the UK. Fear not Americans – it will be available on October 9 over here. Hard copies will hit stores on November 20 and will host five tracks including “Atom,” “Down On The Ground,” “Straight Down The Line,” “Hearing Aid,” and “The Pelican.”

Band member Yan sent out a press release saying, “The title of the EP is Krankenhaus?, which is German for hospital. This could equally allude to the healing and/or life-saving qualities of indie rock music, or perhaps the vast quantities of pharmaceuticals associated with both of these. The green cross adorning the front could be the one used to locate a chemist’s, or maybe a symbol of a new ecological religion. The answer is up to you.”
