Q And Not U Band Member Takes Control Of The FADER

It is a changing of the guard over at music lifestyle magazine The FADER. The new Executive Editor of the magazine happens to be Chris Richards, formerly of the band Q And Not U. Richards recorded three albums with the band on the one and only Dischord Records, as well as his own Purple Blaze solo album on Academy Fight Song. We’ve been fans of Richards for quite some time, so we’re quite curious to see what flavor he adds to The FADER.

His editorial background was fine tuned through his six-year run at the Washington Post as an art and culture contributor. With his rock roots and writing skills, it looks like this could be a match made in heaven. About being hired on as Executive Editor, Richards said: “I feel like The FADER has just hired its biggest fan. The FADER has been turning me on to new sounds for years and I’m thrilled to be joining a team of journalists as enthusiastic about the future of music as I am.”
