The Champaign, IL trio Headlights will be dropping their sophomore LP, Some Racing, Some Stopping, on February 19 via Polyvinyl. Although we don’t have to wait tooooo long to hear the new tunes, the band was nice enough to offer up a MP3 of the song “Cherry Tulips” to tide us over. It is mighty purdy, so we can’t wait to hear the rest of the record.
Next month they will be gassing up the van for a round of tour dates, which will feature an expanded band lineup to help recreate the full sound of the album. They’ll be adding Nick Sanborn from Decibully on bass and accordion, along with a rotating cast of buddies such as John Owen from Shipwreck and Kenny Siebert from Decibully as well. Headlights will be sharing the bill with Norman, OK’s Evangelicals.
