Last month we mentioned that Martina Topley Bird was back with a new album, The Blue God. Produced by Dangermouse, her sophomore effort will be available in the UK starting on March 3 via Independiente. Sadly, no US release information is available as of yet, so get ready to shell out those bucks for the import. From the bits we’ve heard so far, including the track “Valentine,” it will be worth the price.

We now have the first video to share with you from The Blue God, which is for the track “Carnies.” In it she takes us on a magic Vespa ride, taking us to see a knife-throwing carnie in action. As much as we enjoyed her debut, Quixotic, as well as her work with Tricky, this new album could very well end up as her best work to date.
