Sometimes when members of brilliant groups decide to take a stab at a side project, they end up with a dud and simply embarrass themselves. This is most definitely not the case with The Last Shadow Puppets, which is the brainchild of Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and The Rascals’ Miles Kane.

The duo’s debut album, The Age Of The Understatement, will be released in the US on May 6 via Domino. We’ve already shown you the official promo video for the album’s debut single (which is also the title track), but we’ve also gotten our hands on something else. Turner and Kane recorded a few tracks live at NYC’s Avatar Studios last month, which are now available for your viewing enjoyment.
