Sub Pop’s 20th Anniversary Festival Is Announced

Indie label Sub Pop is going to turn twenty years old in style. Although the label isn’t old enough to buy a beer yet, it can sure throw one hell of a party to help celebrate two decades of putting out some of the best music around. The SB20 Festival will take place July 12 & 13 at Marymoor Park, which is just outside of Seattle in Redmond, WA.

Although the complete lineup has yet to be announced, and we’re sure that the Sub Pop crew has a few tricks up their sleeves, so far they have confirmed: Beachwood Sparks, Comets On Fire, Fleet Foxes, Flight Of The Conchords, The Fluid, Foals, Grand Archives, Green River, The Helio Sequence, Iron & Wine, Kinski, Low, Mudhoney, No Age, Pissed Jeans, Red Red Meat, The Ruby Suns, Sea Weed, Wolf Parade and many more.

SB20 will also kick off on July 11 with a comedy show, featuring Eugene Mirman and Patton Oswalt. This will take place at The Moore Theatre. Tickets for both the comedy and music portions will go on sale April 26 at noon (Pacific) through Ticketmaster.

Hopefully there will be plenty of birthday cake and party hats to go around.
