Well gang, here we go again. Weezer is back with a brand new album, going back to their eponymous method of naming records. So we’ve already had the “blue album” and the “green album”, so to knock out the final remaining primary color, this one will be nicknamed the “red album.”
As for the tunes, they are comprised of sessions recorded by Rick Rubin, Jacknife Lee as well as the band itself. The debut single is the unfortunately titled “Pork And Beans,” which will be available digitally tomorrow (April 22). Weezer (The Red Album) will hit stores on June 24 via DGC/Interscope. Apparently each band member took turns singing lead vocals throughout the album. Interesting…
