Babyshambles Drummer Adam Ficek Discusses Pete Doherty’s Release

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you most likely know that Pete Doherty has been released from prison. Now that he is once again a free man, it is time to start cranking out that next Babyshambles record. Adam Ficek, the band’s drummer as well as the creative force behind Roses King Castles, has commented on his bandmates return to the public.

Ficek said: “The most important thing now Peter has been released is to get back in the studio and knock together our third album. Obviously Peter still has to put the finishing touches to his solo venture (mine is finished), but the plan is for all of us to decamp to Marlborough and put some time and energy into what has to be our biggest and best record to date. The songs are there, we just need to hone and ‘play in’ the ideas to the point where we have a concise body of work. As always, we owe huge amounts of respect to the fans and record company for supporting us through these recent dark times.”
