Last year we were introduced to the fellas in Foreign Born, who released their debut album, On The Wing Now, on Dim Mak. Since then, they have found a new record label to call home. The band will be releasing their proper sophomore album, Person To Person, on Secretly Canadian in February 2009.
Foreign Born is currently in the studio working on the album, where they have twenty-two potential tracks to choose from. Bassist Ariel Rechtshaid is handling duties as producer, which is a mighty good thing as he has also rocked records for We Are Scientists and The Blood Arm. Although we don’t know any specific songs yet, we have been told that the subject matter includes “the band’s home of eastside- LA, wanderlust, loneliness, and the ever changing American landscape.”
When Foreign Born stopped by to record a Tripwire Acoustic Session, they did happen to perform a brand spankin’ new song, which we will have for you very soon. Stay tuned!
