Lily Allen Speaks About New Album

Lily Allen, pink hair and all, has decided to name her sophomore album Stuck On The Naughty Step. No word yet on when it will come out, but she was due to hand the music over to her label yesterday, July 1. She recorded most of the record in Los Angeles with producer Greg Kurstin, who is one-half of The Bird & The Bee.

Speaking with Rolling Stone Allen commented on the title, “In England, when kids are naughty, they get sent to sit on the naughty step. Like a timeout, you know? I feel like I’m stuck in a hole where people say, ‘Lily, you’re bad. Go think about what you’ve done.’”

On working with Kurstin Allen continued, “Greg builds the chords up and I just sing along and make up the words. And then once you’ve got the bare song, we decide which way we’re gonna go with the production.”

So what will the new tunes sound like? It looks like we will just have to wait and see.
