Mexican Summer Brings On The Vinyl/Digital Jams

Collectors of vinyl should be quite pumped about the launch of Mexican Summer. This vinyl/digital record label will be launching in September, bringing limited edition releases to music lovers who still enjoy kicking it analog-style with their turntables (we sure do).

This record club-type label allows fans to pay for a subscription to receive vinyl treats on a regular basis, and will also drop a few at select retailers across the country. Two to three albums will be released every other month in various formats, including 12″ singles, 7″ singles, picture discs, etc. Each will be nicely packaged, hand numbered and pressed on badical high quality, thick as a Big Mac vinyl. They will also come with a download card, so your iPod can get loaded up with the jams as well.

Here is their current schedule for upcoming releases on Mexican Summer:

09.02.08 – Dungen “Sat Att Se” (12″ single – 700 copies)
09.02.08 – Nachtmystium “Worldfall” (500 red w/ black spatter, 500 gray w/ red splatter)
09.02.08 – Headdress Turquoise (LP – 500 copies)
11.01.08 – Marissa Nadler “Ballads Of Living And Dying” (reissue 7″ – 1,000 copies)
11.01.08 – The Tallest Man On Earth Shallow Grave (LP w/ bonus 7″ EP – 1,000 copies)
