Although you may not be entirely familiar with her, there is a good chance that you’ve heard Alex Lilly’s voice before. Fans of The Bird And The Bee will recognize her as the back-up singer for the group, and she has now embarked on a project of her very own. Lilly will be introducing the world to the pop sounds of Obi Best through her debut album, Capades, which will be out digitally on August 25 via Social Science.

Obi Best features Lilly on vocals, guitar and keys, backed by keyboardists Bram Inscore (Beck, Peeping Tom) and John Wood (Inara George, Mike Andrews), as well as drummer Barbara Gruska (Jenny Lewis) and backup vocalists Lisa Tremain (Readers) and Kim Talon (Eagle and Talon).
