Video – Travis “Something Anything”

We’ve been rooting for the Scottish lads of Travis for quite some time. After releasing consistently solid albums since their debut back in 1997, they’ve yet to really capture much of a buzz here on our shores. The single “Why Does It Always Rain On Me” almost launched them into a new level in the US, but it seemed to fall just a tad short. Last year’s Nigel Godrich produced record The Boy With No Name marked a return to the sound of The Man Who, but for their upcoming new album, they’ve decided to plug their guitars back in to give us a taste of the good ol’ days of Good Feeling.

Their new album is titled Ode To J. Smith, and is currently scheduled for release on September 30. They have dropped their UK label (Independiente) and have launched their own, Red Telephone Box, on which they will release the record. The first single, “Something Anything,” is landing in shops overseas via 7″ vinyl on September 15, and this is the video for the track. It is definitely nice to hear the guys put a little rock back in their sound. Enjoy!
