The boys (and one girl) from Bloomington, IN have announced a 28-date headlining tour (preceded by a few festival dates) this fall to coincide with the launch of a split 7″ series where they will be trading covers with other artists. First in line for both will be old friend William Elliott Whitmore, who will accompany MBD on tour as well as trade cover songs with the alt-punk heroes. Original band member Vincent Edwards will even join the band on piano at the Nov. 20th Chicago show at the Metro on November 20.
A limited pressing will be made of the 7″, which will feature artwork by Drew James (Who Will Survive) and copies will be available on the tour with a pre-order to begin September 15, only at the band’s website. Since it’s only available at those places (and it’s only two songs deep), we don’t have either of the 7″ tracks, but we do have “The Black Spot” from their fourth album and Vagrant Record debut, Red of Tooth and Claw.
