Last week we reviewed the new Jesu EP Why Are We Not Perfect?, in which writer Jason Jackowiak referred to the alternative version of the title-track as “perhaps the most serene track Justin Broadrick’s ever committed to tape, a loping miasma of distant voices, splintered harmonium drones and stuttering breakbeats that finds him one step closer to crafting the sun-imploding symphony he’s been working, ever-vigilantly, towards since his debut.”
But why take Jason’s word for it? As of today – the official street date of the record – you can go to a new website, appropriately titled whyarewenotperfect.com and stream the EP in it’s entirety. Now you can take a stab at writing a review – we suggest using vague words like epic, riff, sonic and everyone’s favorite, atmospheric.
