Flashback Friday Video(s) – Tegan And Sara & The White Stripes “Walking With A Ghost”

In honor of Jack White and Alicia Keys new Bond single “Another Way To Die”, we take you back to a time when Jack used to collaborate with some chick named Meg.

Granted, the song is not more than 3 years old (the video’s even younger), but we felt it valid of this Friday Flashback because of the aforementioned reference as well as the fact it fits our running “ghost” theme. We’re in the home stretch – the month of October – as we head to its climactic ending on Halloween (which, incidentally, falls on a Friday). So far we’ve featured artists as wide ranging as Huey Lewis And The News, Placebo, Sonic Youth and The Specials; all which have videos that fit our “ghost” criteria.

With that in mind, we knew that way back in the year of 2005, The White Stripes were known to be covering Tegan And Sara’s “Walking With A Ghost”, eventually even recording their own studio version the track. While that practice is not uncommon, the making of a video for a cover song – a cover of a contemporary artist no less – is. Therefore, we present you with two renditions of the same song as visualized by two groups who are still active.
