Google Is So 2001

Do you remember when Pitchfork looked like this?

Pitchfork

Or a time when a Google search for TV On The Radio actually took you to electronic store sites?

Well, if not, Google is bringing back the memories. In honor of their 10th anniversary, the world’s number one search engine has brought back their oldest available index for you to scope out what life was like at the turn of the millennium. Take a look back at Google in January 2001.

Perusing the 10th anniversary site, you’ll also find interesting facts and anecdotes from Google’s past decade, like their first home-office or how they helped Radiohead make a music video of their song “House of Cards” using only data, and not cameras. It’s fun to look back and see how much the internet has changed and affected our lives in the past ten years, or at the very least, an interesting way to kill time while at work.
