Franz Ferdinand Unveil Album Artork And New Single

Two weeks ago we reported the release date and track listing of the upcoming — and third proper — Franz Ferdinand album. Now we have the album artwork and news about the first single.

On January 19, Franz Ferdinand will release “Ulysses”, the first single from their forthcoming album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, which will be released a week after. Produced by Dan Carey, “Ulysses” was recorded during the band’s album sessions at their Govan, Glasgow headquarters and Carey’s South London studio and the single (artwork below) will be available digitally on December 2, so you can mark your calendars now.

Franz Ferdinand have also announced a remix competition for the song. Fans will have the opportunity to craft their own unique version of “Ulysses” before it debuts on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show in the UK on Monday, November 17. At the end of the competition the band will nominate the winners, with the winning entries then being released on the same day as the single.
