Are Kings Of Leon Breaking Up?

UK Daily The Sun reported this morning that there’s trouble brewing in rock’n'roll paradise for Tennessee boys Kings of Leon, who are set to kick off their world tour Monday in southern England.

After telling The Sun reporter Gordon Smart earlier this year that they were putting the brakes on the whole rock lifestyle, Smart now says tensions in the band are high over lead singer Caleb Followill’s drinking.

Things came to a head a couple of weeks ago with an almighty row and the boys trading blows. Nathan, Jared and Matthew haven’t spoken to Caleb since, throwing label bosses into a panic as the tour is due to kick off in Brighton on Monday.

A source said: “The others have warned Caleb over and over again that they weren’t happy about his drinking but he carried on regardless. The lads have always fought but they usually sort it out the next morning. Things are completely different this time. The label is deeply concerned that if they don’t sort out their differences the tour won’t go ahead.”

Caleb’s brother and KOL bassist Jared Followill recently said in an interview that the only time the boys fight “is when Caleb’s drunker than he’s ever been so it’s not really him. He wakes up and doesn’t remember any of it.” But while the future of the band might be cloudy, for the moment, the band’s tour page remains intact with dates next month in England and a trip back across the pond in January for the start of the U.S. leg of the tour in Louisville, Ky.
