Opeth Keyboardist Joins Clutch On The Bakerton Group’s New Album

The Bakerton Group, the musical alter ego of Clutch, have added a new member to their ranks. Per Wiberg from Opeth joins the group for a new album of psychedelic instrumental jazz, El Rojo!, will make its way into the world on February 17, 2009.

All four original members of Clutch are featured in The Bakerton Group’s line up, with Opeth’s Wiberg handling the duties of piano, synth and keyboards. El Rojo! was produced by Clutch and J. Robbins at Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore.

Clutch will be on the road through the end of the year with support from Viking Skull and Russian Circles, and in February Clutch and The Bakerton Group will tour simultaneously before they head back into the studio to work on the new Clutch album.
