Girl Talk Stole His Name From Stephanie Tanner

It’s been floating all around the music blogosphere today, so we’re not sure who to credit. We’ll give the nod to Hipster Runoff for bringing us this Earth shattering video.

The clip starts off harmlessly enough with Stephanie Tanner and good friend Kimmy Gibbler practicing their version of Ace Of Base’s “I Saw The Sign” for the Tanner family (of Full House fame of course). But watch closely for the name on the drum set when they perform their first ever show. Gasp!

To quote Hipster Runnoff: If I had know that the Girl Talk [Greg Gillis] had stolen their name from Girl Talk, a tween Ace of Base coverband, would I still be a ‘fan’? Feel like my parents told me I was adopted or something.
