Arcade Fire Release Documentary Film Miroir Noir

In that grand tradition of musicians taking fans behind the scenes, Arcade Fire are releasing Miroir Noir, the film that follows them through the production and tour surrounding their 2007 album Neon Bible, on December 15.

Miroir Noir documents the band recording in their Montreal studio, putting together promotional videos, on the road and live on stage. The film was directed by Vincent Morisset, a friend and collaborator of the band who also did the interactive video for “Neon Bible” as well as its web design.

The film will be available for digital download on Monday. The download and the standard edition of the DVD will both feature the 70 minute film, and the deluxe edition will include bonus material like live performances from Saturday Night Live and Jonathan Ross. The downloads are available through the Miroir Noir site on Monday as a one-time download, with DVDs set for delivery in early 2009. You can check out a trailer of the film through the site now.
