EMI Plans Radiohead Greatest Hits Album

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. The guitarist for Radiohead, Ed O’Brien, announced in an interview with Canadian music TV that EMI will be releasing a Radiohead greatest hits album. Due to come out this Spring, the album will align itself nicely with the group’s upcoming world tour.

In the interview O’Brien commented, “They’re planning to do a greatest hits for April, May to coincide with our tour. That’s an interesting one. We won’t be doing any promotion for that, obviously.” Drummer Phil Selway added, “It’s well within their rights to do it. So we’ll have to see.”

According to DIS, the plans correspond to comments recently made by Guy Hands, the new man in charge of unlocking the value in the label’s back catalog.

What do you think should be included on the greatest hits? Let us know.
