Amplive’s Radiohead Remix Project Is Ready For Download

Although we can’t say that we’re surprised, it is cool to see that Amplive’s eight-track remix project of Radiohead’s In Rainbows is finally online. Back in January the band’s publisher, Warner/Chappell, sent a good ol’ fashioned cease & desist letter, putting the original January 10 release date of Rainydayz Remixes on indefinite hold.

After pleading with the band to allow the release of the project, it looks like they’ve hugged it out and it is now available for free download. So how did they make nice to allow its release? A statement on the download site reads: “While the Oakland producer/DJ acknowledges that he probably should have contacted Radiohead (who were not involved in the project) to seek approval prior to making his interpretations publicly available, an agreement has been reached between all involved parties and Amplive has been granted permission to release Rainydayz Remixes for free to the general public. Effective immediately, the eight-track record is available here.”

Amplive was able to snag some hefty collaborators to appear on Rainydayz, including Too Short, MC Zumbi, Del The Funky Homosapien and others. So head over to the download site to pick it up, and check out Amplive’s official thank you video to Radiohead via YouTube below.
