Swervedriver + Interpol = Magnetic Morning

This is most definitely an interesting pairing of musicians that has the potential to be quite rad. Magnetic Morning is the collaboration between Swervedriver singer/guitarist Adam Franklin and Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino. It turns out that a friend introduced the two in 2006 and the sparks flew, well, musically.

Franklin and Fogarino holed up in NYC’s Electric Ladyland studios with Claudius Mittendorfer, who happened to engineer Interpol’s Our Love To Admire album. The results can be heard in Magnetic Morning’s debut, self-tited EP, which will be released into independent record stores in the US on April 19 via DH Records. You can preview most of the duo’s material on their MySpace page, which does sound mighty awesome. They will also be touring later this year.
