What happens when you get crapped out from a major label deal? If you happen to be the The Little Ones, you pick yourself right back up and keep on moving forward. After gaining plenty of buzz surrounding their previous EP, catching the ear of US label Astralwerks, the Los Angeles pop group found themselves with what most bands strive for. Their self-released EP was reissued, they toured, and then completed work on what was to be their debut full-length, Morning Tide.
Well, when EMI went through some serious downsizing, The Little Ones were released from their contract, but that is apparently not slowing them down one bit. The newly re-independent band will be releasing their Terry Tales & Fallen Gates EP worldwide via The Branches Recording Collective on April 8. Fans will be able to pick it up at iTunes and at select indie retailers. And what about the full album? We’ll be able to get our hands on it this summer.
We’re glad that the giddy-guitar pop of The Little Ones will continue on, as many bands would have simply said “fuck it” and call it a day. Keep on fighting the good fight!
