Video – Elbow “One Day Like This”

With each new piece taken from Elbow’s upcoming new album, The Seldom Seen Kid, that we’ve been able to preview, we continue to get more excited about its upcoming US release. We only have to wait a couple of weeks until it hits stores on April 22 on Fiction/Geffen, and everything we’ve heard so far has been pretty spectacular. We’ve already shown you the video for “Grounds For Divorce,” but now we’ve got the clip for the first US single off the album, “One Day Like This.”

The concept for this Rigan Ledwidge directed video is pretty simple, where they filmed a dude holding a “condos for sale” sign on a street corner. Shot in slow motion, the guy manages to do some impressive flips and spins with the sign, making for a basic yet somewhat impressive video. The track itself is lush, filled with beautiful orchestration, making us quite anxious to hear the rest of the album.
