Stereolab Prep New Album

The last time we heard from Stereolab, Tim Gane was working on a soundtrack with Sean O’Hagan of High Llamas for Marc Fitoussi’s film La Vie d’Artiste. We are happy to say though that we just got word that the group will be releasing a brand new album on August 18 in the UK and August 19 in the US called Chemical Chords. According to Pitchfork, the release will host thirteen tracks composed by Gane and Laetitia Sadier, in addition to a solo song by Gane. Brass and string arrangements are going to be done by the aforementioned O’Hagan.
