Austin’s indie rockers Shearwater are back with a brand spankin’ new album. The new record will be titled Rook, which will be released on June 3 on Matador Records. The proper follow-up to the band’s previous masterpiece, Palo Santo, has definitely got our curiosity to see what else these guys have up their sleeves.
To get fans warmed up and ready for the new material, Shearwater will be embarking on a brief May tour, including a run of dates with Clinic. The tour will be bookended by two very special performances, featuring the band along with an eight-piece orchestra. These will be at NYC’s Florence Gould Hall and at Austin’s Parish.
