Arcade Fire Record Film Soundtrack

Indie superstars Arcade Fire are reportedly working on some new material. Now before you get your panties in a wad and start selling blood in order to fly wherever they might be playing in support of it, keep reading. The band has been chosen to work on a soundtrack for the next Richard Kelly film.

Kelly, the director of Donnie Darko, is hard at work on his latest which is titled The Box and is set to feature Cameron Diaz and James Marsden. The horror film, based on the 1970 short story Button, Button, should hit theaters later this year. According to Angry Ape, Arcade Fire will be working with producer Markus Dravs. Sound familiar? He’s the dude that just worked with Coldplay for Viva La Vida and on the Fire’s Neon Bible.

It’s no official new album from Arcade Fire, but we will take what we can get.
