New Morrissey Single Out In June

After celebrating his birthday yesterday, Morrissey has announced the release date for his new single. “All You Need Is Me” will be available through a few online retailers in the UK on June 2. It will be available for one week only, so mark this date down or else you might miss out.

For the CD single, it will feature “Children In Pieces” as the b-side, which was recorded in Los Angeles with composer Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries), and was produced by Jerry Finn. The first 7″ vinyl single features “My Dearest Love,” which was also recorded with Santaolalla and Finn. The second 7″ vinyl single features “Drive-In Saturday,” written by David Bowie and recorded live at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha.

You can pick up all three formats for only £5 over at recordstore.co.uk, or individually at the UK Amazon store. In a bit of other Mozzer news, he is currently wrapping up work on the follow-up to You Are The Quarry with Jerry Finn, which is currently scheduled for a Fall 2008 release.
