Videos – Tripwire Acoustic Session With Mezzanine Owls

For our latest installment of the Tripwire Acoustic Series, we bring you the Los Angeles group Mezzanine Owls. Although they’re currently unsigned, the band did partner up recently with JAXART for a 7″ vinyl EP. We got our first taste of this fantastic band back in 2006, with the release of their Slingshot Echos full-length album. With a hint of jangly guitars in their lush shoegaze sound, we were curious to hear how they’d sound stripped down to their bare essentials in an acoustic setting. The results were mighty amazing, as they performed “Snow Globe” as well as the new song “Ruins And Plaster.” Enjoy!
