Bat For Lashes Working On New Album + New Backing Band

Natasha Khan, the lovely musician better known as Bat For Lashes, popped back onto our radar with the announcement that she is officially working on her next album. She will be taking a break from recording to embark on a tour, on which she will be backed by a brand new band called The Blue Dreams. They consist of:

Carloine Weeks – flute, keys, autoharp, guitar, vocals, drums
Ben Christophers – Harp, Marxophone, pianochord, synths, guitar and phono-fiddle
Katherine Mann (Quinta) – Violin, viola, clarinet, saw, marxophone, drum and vocals
Alex Thomas – Drums, electronic pads, percussion and timpanis

Khan will perform on piano, harpsichord, autoharp, percussion, bass and of course, vocals. Unfortunately, this tour is only in the UK and Europe, as she supports Radiohead overseas. This is a bit of a bummer for those of us in North America, especially as she will be debuting four new songs in her set.

Once the tour wraps up, Khan intends to continue working on her forthcoming new record. Hopefully more information will pop up before too long.
