More Info Surfaces About Upcoming Beck Album

Beck’s PR machine is catching up with this week’s leaked info on his upcoming new album. They have confirmed that it was produced by Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton. The album is still untitled, but we now know that it will contain a total of ten songs, clocking in at just a hair over thirty minutes long.

The press release states that the album “is a tightly assembled group of songs that range in
lyrical tone from introspection and social commentary to off the cuff wordplay and lighthearted humor. Musically, the album’s ten tracks vacillate between economy and experimentation, hybrid and pop classicism, while consistently manifesting Beck and Danger Mouse’s shared interest in psych-rock, folk, electronic minimalism and orchestration.”

There is still no official release date, but we do know that it will indeed be out at some point this summer. Hopefully more news will zip through the pipeline in the not so distant future.
