Our friends at Polyvinyl Records have hooked us up with quite a treat for our readers. They will be releasing the debut EP from Tu Fawning, which is a new band comprised of Corrina Repp (who has released records on Mark Kozelek’s Caldo Verde label) and Joe Haege (the main dude behind 31Knots). Yeah, that got your attention!
The EP, titled Secession, will hit stores on May 13 as a vinyl release via Discourage, and then Polyvinyl will make it available digitally on May 27, then finally as a CD on July 9. The tunes were recorded by Kevin Robinson from Viva Voce, taped at his own studio at Amore!Phonics. We’ve been digging what we have heard so far, and we can’t keep it to ourselves any longer.
