London’s Underground Railroad might not be a name that many people know yet, but if the rest of their forthcoming album is as good as the b-side we just heard, that might all change. The band formed five years ago in Paris, and last year they released their debut album Twisted Trees via One Little Indian in the UK.
The group has remained hard at work over the last year, and plan to put out a brand new release, Sticks And Stones, on September 29 overseas, with a single of the same title preceding it on July 21. The new work was recorded in Seattle with producer John Goodmanson (Death Cab For Cutie, Sleater Kinney, Blonde Redhead).
Fans of noisy psychedelic rock such as Velvet Underground and Jesus And Mary Chain are sure to jump on board with their tunes. To get you better acquainted, download “Homeless Town” below. It’s the b-side to “Sticks And Stones.”
