A short post over the weekend at the official Smashing Pumpkins website announced that a pre-Gish/Gish box set is indeed in the works. Although no other information has been leaked out as of yet about the specific contents of the release, they did also mention that it will coincide with a “Gish tour” at some point later this year.
The big question is, who will be performing as members of the Smashing Pumpkins for a Gish tour, as it just wouldn’t be right without the original lineup. It would be pretty rad to see D’arcy Wretzky and James Iha back on stage with Billy and Jimmy, but we’ve got a hunch that we’re dreaming at this point.
