Today the world was treated to the debut of “Love Is Noise,” the brand new single from The Verve. The song premiered on BBC1 with Zane Lowe, who declared “30 seconds in and I’m blown away.” Yeah, it seems that Lowe flipped out over this one. This is our first taste of what direction they have taken for their new album, which will hit stores in the US on August 19.

After waiting for the mighty return of The Verve, perhaps our expectations were simply set too high. It is catchy though, and it does seem to improve with each listen, so maybe it is just a “grower.”
