Your friends here at The Tripwire HQ could go on and on about our fascination with the UK musician Adem. His debut, Homesongs, was released back in 2004, and has remained a favorite ever since. His most recent (and third) full-length album, Takes, was released this week on Domino. It is comprised of covers taken from a selection of Adem’s favorite songs during his musical discovery days from 1991 to 2001. The album is amazing, which you can read about here.
We were given this video clip of Adem performing a cover of Lisa Germano’s “Slide” to share with our loyal readers. If you have never had an opportunity to see him in person, this will give you a taste of how incredible his live shows can be. Now exactly how to we arrange to get him down to Austin for our very own backyard concert?
For our friends in the NYC area, you are in luck as he does have one performance scheduled in Brooklyn. As of now, this is his only US performance, so do not miss this opportunity! He will be taking the stage next Tuesday, June 10 at Union Hall.
